All’italiana – Boston Italian Theatre Company is a theater group founded in 2019 and affiliated with Pazzi Lazzi Troupe LLC, under the artistic direction of Chiara Durazzini and Eleonora Cordovani. The only Italian theater company in New England, the group performs primarily in Italian and specializes in staging shows by Italian playwrights and authors. We are Italian expats or fluent Italian speakers: some of us are professional performers, while others come from widely different backgrounds, such as medical science, computer science, arts and humanities.
We offer acting labs in Italian to both native and non-native speakers. With our students, we staged the following shows: La Giara – A One Act Play by Luigi Pirandello with Folk Italian Southern Music directed by Chiara Durazzini (2019 at the Dante Alighieri Society, 2023 at Bentley University); Io Mi Canto Da Sola – Storie di Donne Mai Arrese directed by Eleonora Cordovani (2023 at Boston Playwrights Theatre, 2024 at NYU); Favole al Telefono directed by Eleonora Cordovani (2023 at I AM Books); Celebrating the Dialect and Languages of Italy (2020, virtual); All'italiana supports BLM (2020, virtual).

What Students say about our Labs:
It's a really good way to practice Italian, improve one's poise, bolster confidence, and have fun - this has been a really fun class. Thank you!
I enjoyed the camaraderie. It's a really good atmosphere where everyone is supportive and encouraging.
Grazie grazie grazie!
